I'm a stupid genius

So I'm a fucking genius, not like Stephen Hawking, I'm a low-level genius, but still a genius. I once had a friend that would tell me I should be doing more with my talents and I would respond, yeah, I tell people what I think all the time! I felt the need today to spellcheck the word "genius". Didn't think it looked right. Yeah...

if a tree falls in my neighborhood, will it make a sound, and what type of sound will it make hitting my roof?

There was a storm May 26. My neighbor's half dead tree had a large limb that broke, didn't go down, just wedged itself within the tree. He said he would take care of it an as you can see from the date, well hasn't. My daughter hasn't slept in her room all summer, I've had to park in the street, subjecting my already beaten car to more damage, and we've been deprived of the use of my back door and yard. Asshole.

we saw Jonny Lang at RibFest last night -- how Iowan, really they have ribs from like 8-10 vendors at exhuberantly high prices. Jonny's performance was euphoric.

I am a loser lazy blogger

Went to 80/35 music fest in Des Moines over the July 5th. http://www.80-35.com/ Saw Black Francis and Yonder Mountain String Band and The Roots. There were other local acts-- Envy Corps, Radio Moscow, Poison Control Center. Could have listened to Pieta Brown all night. Here's a pic of Black Francis and a fuzzy one of Yonder Mount. Really regret missing The Flaming Lips on the 4th.
